Gravy Train!!!! - “Hella Nervous”
This song was my ANTHEM in the Summer of ‘05. Gravy Train!!!! (yes, four exclamation points - I’m not just really excited about this awesome band) is based in Northern California so maybe I just feel a sort of kindred spirit thing. I would describe them as electro-indie-funky-80s rock, and this song is heinously dirty but in a kind of cute way.
(Oh and in case you’re wondering, this song is perfect for a pregame.)

I have joked about the day they discover that sunscreen causes cancer, but I never thought it would be real. I put on sunscreen every day. I wear an appalling amount of sunscreen. I just reapplied it to my face and I’m underground.
Well, that’s annoying considering how the importance of wearing sunscreen has been stressed to me most of my life. Luckily, only one of the sunscreen products I use (and not often) contains this. Hooray. At least I won’t be as paranoid now!!

I agree with Iowa City at No. 3, but Ames at No. 4? Maybe if you’re a cow.
After living in Boulder for the past 8 months, I determined the following…
The Good: great public transportation, bike-friendliness, MOUNTAINS, and weed, if you’re into it.
The Bad: the other half of the population is comprised of middle-aged rich douchebags, bums/hobos, and uh Fourmile Fire right now.
The Ugly: major lack of nightlife.
