Plus qu’hier et bien moins que demain.
I am an amateur photographer from the Midwest, turned Coloradoan, reacclimating to life in Wisconsin.
Among the things I enjoy: inappropriate Prince songs, dichotomous keys, sharing music, old fashioned photo booths, winning games of Cribbage.
Matt Skibaaa.
I wish I’d gone to one of the Metro shows because I have a feeling they played not ONLY new stuff. And the Metro > the Rave, any day.
This particular show made me wonder when did people stop going to concerts for the music, but instead socializing? I heard more people talking through all the bands’ sets than listening and enjoying it. It’s disrespectful on multiple levels: to the band, to the people that put the show together, to the [apparently minority] part of the audience that gives a shit. It was very frustrating. While I love Alkaline Trio, I also realized that some of their fans are the worst company to share a concert with.
Side note: my new phone took this shockingly clear photo.

Stubhy, “Child’s Play”
Lucky Boys Confusion totally still got it. Except they opened it up for requests, we screamed “Child’s Play” about 73 bloody times and NADA! But “40/80” and “CB’s Caddy” helped ease it up.

The Emergency Room (a.k.a. Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio) covering “First Eviction Notice” by the Lawrence Arms.
I should have been at this show. A member of one of my favorite bands playing one of my favorite songs by another one of my favorite bands.
