It's my first night back in Kenosha
and I thought, quite presumptuously, that some combination of my friends would be fighting for my company. No. No. Luckily, my parents’ two cats and dog filled that void: the cats are growling and hissing at one another over the coveted “crook of legs” spot, and Wiley the dog sleeps on the pillow next to my head. Cozy and comforting and they don’t interrupt me very often.
